I hope yall had a great week!! 👍 This week was pretty cool because of the power of the spirit! The week started out a little hard and kind of boring but on Wednesday we got a really great training from our Zone Leaders and Sister Training Leaders that really helped motivate me and make me excited to go out finding people this week. And we did!! Instead of just trying to find people we tried finding OUT about people and their lives. It was a lot more fun and even though not everyone we talked to was interested, it made our interactions a lot friendlier and people were nicer to us. 

We also had some friends at Church and also some members come out with us for the evening. On Saturday night, Brother Freddy Miller from the high council came out with us and he is such a stud! So cool and has an awesome testimony. We had a miracle happen with him too. At 8pm we got a call from our new member Kenny and he asked if we could come give a blessing to his family member who wasn't waking up. The Methodist hospital was way too far for us to drive to on our own, so normally we would've called the missionaries down there and sent them in our place. But Brother Freddy Miller said he could take us and he drove us all the way there and so we we're able to do it ourselves and it was a special experience. We got to meet some of his family and there was a disgruntled man outside who we spoke to and Kenny actually bore a powerful testimony of how God is with us in the trials we got through. It was pretty cool to see a convert I got teach be so solid in their testimony!! I haven't helped many people be baptized so far but all of those I have helped are super solid and have strong roots!!

Speaking of converts, our friend Vicky was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Saturday morning!! 🌊🌊🌊 She asked me to baptize and confirm her and it was very special because we have a very good connection and I felt the spirit a lot. I felt so much joy for her and it made me reflect a lot on how awesome it is that we can make covenants (sacred promises) with literally God. Like think about that – GOD makes promises to us when we make some easy ones with him. I got to be here for most of Vickys journey and I feel that it's the reason I have been in this area. She was a hard-core catholic and we connected a lot on our knowledge and experiences with them. She has a powerful testimony of Jesus Christ and how the Book of Mormon has brought more peace into her life than anything. After she was baptized she said she was excited to live as a Latter-Day Saint!!  Thank you to everyone and anyone who kept her in your prayers – they were much needed. 

For my spiritual thought I want to share something from my Come Follow Me study of the Old Testament this past week. This weeks readings have been my favorite so far – the book of Joshua. I wasn't very familiar with the story before but it's cool to see this regular man who was to replace Moses, the greatest prophet ever, transform into a powerful leader who conquered an entire region with the help of God. And I liked these verses in Joshua 23:

8 But cleave unto the Lord your God, as ye have done unto this day.

9 For the Lord hath driven out from before you great nations and strong: but as for you, no man hath been able to stand before you unto this day.

10 One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the Lord your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you.

11 Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love the Lord your God.

Think about how cool it as that that same God – the one who conquered nations and destroyed thousands of wicked, and saved hundreds of thousands throughout the story of Joshua – is the same God who is our Heavenly Father!! How cool is it to have HIM on our side in this life. Especially when we enter into a covenant with him and he promises is the gift of the Holy Ghost! So cool!!
