Howdy yall what a great weekend it was!! First off our friend Jean (pronounced John) got baptized on Saturday!! We were super happy for him and he was just a ball of joy. The adversary hit him pretty hard this past week with the loss of a family member and some unexpected family opposition but he said I know I must do this and I will keep pressing forward. Elder Johnson got to baptize him and I confirmed him a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It was a very sacred experience and I felt the guidance and presence of the Holy Ghost very clearly. Elder Thunell was able to make it to which made it happy to see both of my sons get their first baptism so early in their mission ❤️
This week was also transfer news‼️ I got the news that I will a Zone Leader in the San Antonio East Stake and follow you training Elder Bailey in the High Country ward. I am so excited for this news 😆 I've met Elder Bailey a few times and was like we need to be comps and now it's going to happen! He came out last transfer with Elder Johnson and was trained by my friend Elder Van Dyke. And he is going home cause his 2 years is up and so I will adopt Elder Bailey as a mission “son” (trainee). This means the Noble Birthright Posterity will grow to 3 😁
This week was also eventful within the district because at the end of today we will go from 8 missionaries –> 6 missionaries 😔 Sister Russell went home this past Friday for some health issues which was sad to see her go. And Elder Sorensen got a call to serve as Presidents Assistant and so they were gone all day for a couple days this week doing transfer planning. We are going to go drop him off at the AP apartment tonight and get SWIG on the way if there is time.
Also I was convinced to buy a Buc-ee's onesie for myself this week and I'll be honest it is freaking awesome 👌 👏
