Hello πΒ
Howdy yall! So sorry my emails are becoming more spaced out – we have been so busy! Anyways we are 2 weeks into this new transfer which is crazy how fast time goes by. Before I know it I will be at my year mark in September. First off, the area is actually now being double covered by both us and the zone leaders. So we both cover the same wards and area which is going great because it's just doubling all of the work and success in the area!Β
I'll be honest with yall, I wasn't too happy initially to be doing a third transfer in this area, but the Lord has been blessing us a ton so far. And it reminds me of Alma 26:27
“Now when our hearts were depressed, and we were about to turn back, behold, the Lord comforted us, and said: Go amongst thy brethren, the Lamanites, and bear with patience thine afflictions, and I will give unto you success.” And so here a few of those blessings I have seen!!
1. Living in a 4 Elder apartment is so fun! I was in one in Seguin and so far it's been a lot of fun living with Elder Van Dyke and Elder Wettstein!
2. The Sacrament is REAL! I felt its strengthening power throughout my week.
3. We had Zone conference during a mission tour and so we had general authorities here. Elder & Sister Dunn and Elder & Sister Rowe of the Seventy came and taught us a lot about faith, diligence, and prayer. It was an extra long conference but I really enjoyed it and had fun.Β
4. We were a lot more diligent this past week and spent a lot of time walking around outside and knocking. We didn't find many people, but most people were pretty kind and we only had 1 or 2 negative interactions. It was cool to meet nice people!
5. Our friend Vicky is ready for baptism!! We have finished teaching her and she is ready to be baptized! She has asked me to baptize her and we have it scheduled for this upcoming Saturday, May 23. Please pray for her throughout this week she will need the added strength!! She is someone that is truly special, when we came over and sat down for a lesson the spirit was so strong that it almost brought me to tears. I've learned a lot about charity and how it feels since we began meeting with her.
6. I got to see my friends a ton!! I saw Elder Echols on the day after his birthday because he is moving elder and brought some things to drop off. He is one of my favorite elders and is always a joy to be around! And I got to see Elder Walker a lot!! I saw him at zone conference, had lunch on his birthday on Friday together at Chick-fil-a and then saw him at lunch on saturday too. We had a crawfish boil at the Packards which is a family he is closely related too so he got to come too! He is currently also comps with another Elder Walker and an Elder Pratt! He was with Elder Pratt last transfer and I've gotten to talk to him a lot and he is super cool!! Hope we are comps someday πΒ
7. It was my brother Sawyer's birthday on Saturday and so I got to call him and talk to him! He is so cool! Can't believe he is 14 now!
It was pretty cool as I was writing this to recognize the many blessings I have seen this week. I only numbered 7 but there are many more and even within those 7 there are so many moving parts that fell into place. It feel wonderful to recognize how Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have looked out for me despite my trials. I will bear my afflictions with patience and He will give unto me success!! And he can do so for you!! I hope you have a wonderful week!!
With Love,
Elder Noble
