Hello 👋
Hope yall are doing well!! Yesterday we received news from the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of which mission we will be a part of. The Texas San Antonio Mission is splitting North and South. The South mission will be absorbing the northern parts of the McAllen mission and the southern parts of the San Antonio mission and will be under the direction of President Martin Rios of Argentina.
But…. nevermind all that because I'm saying North baby 😎 with P Brammy (President Jim Bramwell) I've only been in the northern parts of my mission so far and I am so happy to be staying with my current mission leaders!! And a huge bonus is that most of my friends are all staying with!! Including Elders Walker, Echols, Williams, Pratt, Snavely, Van Dyke, Wettstein, and the one and only Elder Henrie!!
Let's talk about this week though!! It was a pretty awesome week with lots of miracles. The Lord really blessed us and we were able to find a lot of people, get a lot of members involved, and had 9 friends come to church. So here are some of those miracles/happy moments.
Us 4 Elders went to Sister Winston for dinner recently and it was so precious getting to spend time with her! She feels like an adoptive grandma and we really love her. We are getting to make these pressed flower pictures with scriptures around them and it's a fun little craft.
A cool miracle is we went to a lesson with a great service missionary and when we had left he called us saying Elders there is someone who wants to talk to you! He handed off the phone and thats when we talked to Shelby who is an old media referal who just never progressed but she said she wanted to meet us and come to church! So we met with her the next day, then gave her a church tour the next day with her and her 3 daughters, and then they came to church on Sunday!! Super cool 😎
This week we also got to have a pass off lesson with the Stone Oak Elders!! Elder Walker (Derik my best friend), Elder Pratt, and other Elder Walker!! They are such awesome missionaries and I hope I get recomped with Derik and put with Elder Pratt!!!
Unfortunately this weekend Elder Salyer was sick and so we had to stay home. But that day our AP and one of my best friends, Elder Williams, came and hung out with me all day!! It was fun getting to just talk all day. I learned a lot and it was a very tender moment 🥲 We did get to go out just us on Saturday evening and we found someone and had a good member visit.
On Sunday, Elder Van Dyke went with me to church while Elder Wettstein stayed home with Elder Salyer. It was nice getting to go to church and then just go home and relax the rest of the day!! Anyways yall, I am currently in a car on our way to Buc-ee's!! It's been months since I went!! Last time was on my birthday 🥳 Hope yall have a wonderful week!!
