This week was great week! It was hard at times and we struggled to find new people to teach but it ended with a lot of joy. Here are some of this weeks highlights 😄

Last Monday, Elder Randall and I were sitting in the car wondering what we should do and we decided to go on an adventure to downtown San Antonio and go up the Tower of America! It was awesome and was a very fun and unplanned sidequest that we enjoyed. We then met up with our district at In-N-Out and then went and played games at the church. I got to be reunited with one of my favorite people – Elder Preston Henrie! And man he is such a goofball who I love being around. Missed my boy a lot after he left the area last transfer. The devious duo are back in the zone 🤣

On Wednesday we had an incredible district council where Sister Talbot gave an amazing training on inviting friends and helping people keep their commitments. Two weeks ago I was planning on giving a training on the same thing but when I got to the front of the room the spirit was very clear to me we needed to talk about something else which was Baptismal invitations and interviews. So I followed the spirit and gave a training on those two things just on the spot. It went alright but what was cool is the sisters would go on to put 3 people on date that week!! The training was what the people needed. And then I felt inspired to ask Sister Talbot to do a training on what I was originally planning to do and she blew it out of the water!! And now this week my district has literally hit nearly all of our goals and we involved members in lessons like crazy!! God really magnified all of our efforts and it was cool to get the opportunity to play a role by deciding what was needed for district council this week.

My favorite highlight this week was how the Lord answered our prayers on Saturday morning! That morning we brought out two young men with us – Zach and Johnathan – who were absolute studs. The youth have wanted to come out with missionaries forever and the Bishop has begged we give them missionary opportunities. So we made sure we delivered and brought them out for 2 and a half hours on Saturday morning. But the night before we we're pretty worried because we had been struggling to find people to teach and just felt like our efforts weren't nearly as successful as the week before despite our diligence. And so each of us prayed our hearts out to God begging him to bring us miracles the next day while with them! And he delivered! We met lots of kind people and they had opportunities to share their testimonies and see what life as a missionary was like 😁 And then Zach's Mom, Sister Lemmon, took us to Golden Coral and we had a fun lunch with them. 

Another big highlight is the sweetest elderly man I've met on my mission. His name is Brother Hoffman and he lowkey looks like Santa Claus. He has the kindest soul and the biggest heart ❤️ His passion in life has always been missionary work and unfortunately he has been experiencing a lot of health trials lately that make him feel unable to help how he wants. We've been visiting with him frequently and wow I love him. He gets teary eyed when its time for us to leave and gives us a big old hug and says he loves us and that we mean a lot to him. And this is something I've learned to love about missionary work. We aren't just missionaries for non members; we are missionaries for members too. And for all people! Regardless of their choice of religious worship. We are here to love and serve wherever the Lord puts us and I am so happy he allows us time with Brother Hoffman because our time together spiritually nourishes my soul. 😇

One quick bonus is that I got to meet Pam! Pam is famous amongst many missionaries and she is from more so the west side of San Antonio but she has been nicknamed by some “the mission grandma” because of how much she loves working with missionaries. I saw her on my Facebook recommend friends and added her and on that same day she said she was coming to New Braunfels for Buc-ee's and that we could meet in person! So by adding a friend on facebook I made a new friend in real life and she has welcomed me as a new mission grandson she said 🥰 

And very lastly our district hit pretty much ALL of our inspired goals we set for the week!! They felt stretching when we wrote them but WOW we all blew it out of the park. We got 40/40 new people being taught and 29/19 members participating in lessons 🤯 We came up with a fun game that is motivating everyone and I am just super proud of everyone's diligence and hardwork 👏 Every single companionship are tanks and are working so hard I feel like a proud Dad!
