Hello 👋
Howdy yall this week had a lot of fun things happen! Unfortunately the missionary work was not as fun with lots of people canceling and friends dropping us. And it won't stop raining!! Everytime we plan to step outside and go find people it starts pouring rain and I don't like it because it gets my glasses wet and then I can't see anything because I am blind 😔
Oh well! Let's stick to the happy and fun things! First off we had Zone conference this week which was super fun and lots of my friends were there this time around! I got to see pretty much the whole gang from the good old days in Seguin! Elder Williams who is now the North Zone Leader gave a great training on extending baptismal invitations and then he came back and lowkey snuggled with me in the back row for the rest of it 😂 Appropriately of course! And I got to see Elder Walker and Elder Echols, my best friends! They are so awesome 👍
At Zone Conference my iconic “Hello” was frequently repeated by so many people and even President Bramwell himself said it! That was hilarious! 😆
This week we also had a great training in district council from Sister Wood on Consecration. We had a very honest and good conversation on it and I like what we came up with and a new perspective I gained! Consecration is not just obedience where you give up parts of yourself like your talents. But consecration is when you use your gifts and talents for the benefit of the Lord's work! So cool 😎 We are so consecrated. 😁
Another cool thing that happened is in our area a brand new SWIG opened up!! Friday and Saturday was their grand opening and so they were handing out free cookies and free drinks!! So we went with the Sisters and it was funny because nearly every other car in line was a missionary or member of the church 😅 So we all got our drinks and then went to the library as a district to do our studies!
On Sunday our new member Kenny also blessed the sacrament for the first time and he got his temple recommend last week 😆 We are so proud of him and how far he has come!
Oh and one last thing was Elded Henrie shot the moon in a game of Hearts ❤️ That was so awesome!
For my spiritual thought today I want to share a verse I loved and felt the spirit a lot when I read it. I've been feeling frustrated lately with things not going well and just feel like no matter what we try and DO, nothing happens. 😔
But Exodus 14:13 says, “And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.”
I like this verse because it reminds me that sometimes we just need to stand still and watch as the Lord does his work and trust that he knows best. And I know he does, plenty of times on my mission the work that the Lord does is far better than I could've envisioned and so I trust in good things to come 😄
With Love,
Elder Noble
