Hello 👋
Howdy yall, this week felt long but it still went by pretty fast!! We just had so much going on. First off, Elder Thunell and I are still having a blast! Had quite a few crazy experiences this week that I am just going to rattle off.
First we had Zone Leadership Council and Zone Council which both are new types of meetings the mission is holding and man they were a little long but I gues they went better than expected. I had to give a role play presentation on how to do some member work stuff and that was pretty cool.
This week I also had my very first traffic incident 🙃 I BARELY hit a moving gate at an apartment complex. There was this little piece of metal jutting out from the gate that was attached to the chain that slides the gate back and forth. And it nicked the front right of the car just under the headlight. But good news about being a missionary is I don't really got to worry about it!! 😂 We called the vehicle coordinator and all I had to do was fill out a report for the church and then they swapped our car which was a 2024 Toyota Rav4 for a even better 2025 Toyota Tacoma!! So now I really feel like I am in Texas because we got a truck now 🥳 And luckily the gate was perfectly fine and the damage to the car was so minimal that I won't have to pay anything and I should still be allowed to drive.
Also this week we drove all the way to downtown San Antonio for a doctor's appointment for Elder Thunell cause we thought his finger may have been broken while at the MTC. Luckily it wasn't and its just spranged which I guess fingers take a long time to heal which explains why it is still swollen. But the doctor appointment took forever!! Man we talked to Jill the phone rep for 48 mintues to schedule it lol and then it took us two hours to drive there because of the poor traffic. But it's alright!!
One other thing thats pretty cool is we are starting to see miracles from our members which is very rewarding after all of the member work we have been focusing on. That is – supporting their families and friends as a priority. And so a couple in our ward invite a friend to church who actually came and we are going to meet up with him this week!! Also our friend Mina is back and he texted us while we were in ward council that his car battery died and needed help getting to church and I just read it out loud in ward council and our members jumped into action and went and helped him!!
Also on Sunday we felt the spirit a lot!! It felt great. Not even just with missionary work but with the second hour of church where a Brother Packard gave an incredible lesson on that wss very Christ centered and kept me engaged the whole time. Also had an opportunity to bear my testimony to some of our friends and to listen to Elder Thunell do the same and it was powerful!!
But that's pretty much all I can think of that is worthy of report today. I am looking forward to this upcoming week because we get to attend new missionary follow up and also have just a lot of fun stuff going on! Hope yall have a great week too 👍
