Hello 👋
Howdy yall, what a miracle filled week and so I am just gonna go through each day because each one was incredible.
Monday: After a great P-day, I went on an exchange with Elder Sorensen to his area and for just 3 hours a lot happened! We got SWIG ofc to start it off and I honestly got a mid drink for $7 but whatever. Anyways, while walking around this cop pulled up to us in his squad car and asked to speak with us. I was so nervous we were about to be wrongfully persecuted but it went great! He wanted to know what we believe and tried to be a lil' bashy but we bore a powerful testimony of the fact that the Prophet Joseph Smith did in fact see Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. He was pretty interested but had to get going so he gave us his number on a card.
Tuesday: Now back in my own area, after doing studies at the church we walked outside and in the parking lot was this SAME cop who had just pulled someone over into our parking lot! Crazy! We both we're like no way what are the chances. He asked if we had a minute and so we ended up teaching him about the Book of Mormon and gave him a copy. Though he wouldn't give us his address we did determine he lives in our area so we will get to teach him! Tuesday had a couple more things, like meeting an old friend who I ended up having to rebuke in which I don't think I have ever born that powerful or bold of a testimony but we shut it down and walked out. Then at home, the ZLs were on exchange with another Elder who said to me, “Elder Noble do you have a desire to be here?” This Elder then explained he wants to go home and for the duration of his mission does not know WHY he wants to be here. Me and him talked for about 2 hours and I told him my story and gave him counsel. So far he has decided to stay on his mission and seek his WHY! He told me if he makes it 2 years and to a homecoming talk he will tell people that his conversation with Elder Noble was his turning point. And I am telling you the spirit was so clear to me. I told him, “if you go home and do not know why and have no plan, you WILL go inactive and be lost.” But an incredible experience overall on Tuesday where God used my testimony to bless multiple other people.
Wednesday: We attended an incredible zone conference that was probably top 3 of my mission for me so far. It was super spiritual and President and Sister Bramwell shared an incredible story of the Holy Ghost in their life that really touched my heart. We also practiced teaching about baptism and inviting people to be baptized while specifically teaching about the Gift of the Holy Ghost. Also the day before I had a great interview with President and we did a tie trade! And we wore each others ties to zone conference totally unplanned!! That evening we also went and tried to meet with a media referal – Cerney who we were yet to get in contact with. Long story short, we invited him to be baptized on October 25 and he said YES! And what was even cooler was it was EXACTLY what happened at zone conference in the practice. Elder Johnson also pointed out to me, the whole time we talked with him, the dogs were barking, the neighbors being loud and as soon as we said amen at our closing prayer it all went silent. Why? To us we saw the adversary trying to distract us and soon as we finished our purpose he had no more need to fight us. Also a member blessed us at the end of the night by ordering us Five Guys!
Thursday: Man another great day 😀 We had a 3 hour conference clean block where we cleaned up our apartment very nice. It's super clean and spacious now. Nothing much happened in the evening but I did get a package from my Mom and Dad that was awesome!! Loved it so much and am so grateful to them! ❤️ They put a Winnie the Pooh in there and so now I remember how much I love Winnie the Pooh 😂
Friday: Another great day but things started to slow down. Had a great district council and lunch and in the evening we really enjoyed dinner with the Michels who are a nice elderly couple that invite us over for dinner frequently. We had a great conversation on the refiners fire.
Saturday & Sunday: General conference weekend was pretty chill and I enjoyed the talks given. We watched it with different member families which was great. I got to sit on comfy couches and watch TV pretty much for 4 hours each day which only happens twice a year for missionaries so I loved it 😂 Also we did our friend Jeans baptismal interview and he is all ready to be baptized next weekend!! We've had a couple scheduling issues though that have been stressful but please pray it all gets worked out and that he makes it to the water 🌊
With Love,
Elder Noble
