A Turning Point

Hello ๐Ÿ‘‹ย

Howdy yall!! This was another tough week but we had some pretty good experiences and miracles in the end and the Lord delivered us His joy.ย  ๐Ÿ˜Šย
On Monday, President Bramwell sent me an email that was incredible. He shared with me a lot about his mission and his experience and I feel that honestly my mission has been very similar. So I asked him about it and he sent me something so profound. And ultimately it has inspired me to make this a turning point in my mission and in my life. What he wrote to me… I hope to write about my own mission at the end of it… and I hope that it will be true to myself. So I have given up even more to the Lord. I have consecrated more to Him. And I will serve Him even harder.ย
This week we also got to go the Temple in San Antonio and I came prepared with a question. And when I was sitting in the temple… I was reading in John 18-21 and when I read John 21:15, “Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.” I knew immediately what I was meant to do. I felt the spirit super strong and got a little emotional. I felt so much love for Jesus Christ and I felt his love for me.ย
This week we also had a hard time finding – again. Wednesday was especially a really tough day, with negative people and no one answering the door or being outside. One man even shrugged us off saying, “it's too hot!” And I'm like bro we know we been out here for hours lol. But the one door that opened was so rewarding!! We met Symeon who is actually law enforcement and a member who hasn't been to church for a few years. The night before we met him, he said he told himself in the car maybe it was time to come back to church. And the next day BOOM there we were!! We then went back on Saturday and each of us shared our testimonies with him and invited him to church. And he ended up coming and it was great and now we are wonderful friends!!
Also on Sunday we met our new friend Jean (French for John) in the church parking lot who was a media referal the Sisters invited to church and passed him off to us since he was a man. He is super polite and respectful and is actually from Rwanda. But what was hilarious is when he met our friend Mina who we've been teaching for months and they are literally the SAME person!! So funny watching them be extra polite to one another and smiling ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ You love to see it!!ย
One last cool miracle was a very special and tender moment for Elder Thunell and I. It felt very sacred and so we will both keep it private. But what I will say is this: On Saturday night the spirit woke me up and I saw Elder Thunell on his knees praying. I was then prompted to kneel with him at his side. Little did I know how critical this was for the both of us and would end becoming probably one of the most powerful conversations I have ever had. What we talked about will forever remain between us but the presence of the Holy Ghost was so strong and I have never felt so much brotherhood in my life. I've really loved getting to train and be companions with Elder Thunell. He is so much fun and I feel so rewarded. A lot of my friends probably know how I have wanted to train for SO long. And I do believe I was ready to train transfers Ago. But one thing that's special about training is the principle of supply and demand. I may have been ready to train, but the Elder who I was meant to wasn't here yet. But the Holy Ghost has confirmed to me how inspired our companionship is. President Bramwell even told me when choosing us to be companions: “It was the big man upstairs who told me to.” ๐Ÿ˜Š
Thank you to everyone as well for their kind messages last week and for your prayers. I credit the miracles we have seen to those prayers you have offered on our behalf. I ask that you continue to do so please ๐Ÿ™ย  I have felt your prayers and do love you all! โค๏ธ
With Love,
Elder Noble
