Howdy Yall!

I had a blast of a week! It was very busy but lots of fun! Every day is a wonderful day to be companions with Elder Walker and we have lots of fun working together. Seguin has gone full blown Christmas town! We had the lighting of the town square a few nights ago and it feels like straight out of an old Christmas movie. With the Christmas decorations came epic events too. Our Church in particular got to host a very big event that thousands of people attended. It was called The Stroll to The Stable and was a massive display of hundreds of Nativites lended by citizens of Seguin. The Ward put in a lot of effort and we got to use the Old Bank right across from Central Park as our venue to display it all. We also built a large float to be in the Seguin Christmas Parade which was a huge parade of 115 floats people built.
Being in a parade was lots of fun and President Bramwell came to see us and it was so exciting when we all saw him. It felt like we were all little kids who spotted our parents in the crowd with their phones up recording lol. The picture of all of us at the parade attached to this email was taken by President Bramwell.
We helped out also at The Stroll to The Stable by just hanging around and socializing with Members of the community. Some other fun things that happened this week was President came for our interviews we do every once and a while and it went great! He and Sister Bramwell hung out with us for a bit too and we got to learn more about them. Sister Bramwells dad was a fighter pilot who flew the plane that recorded other planes in Top Gun. He was one of the first people to take Tom Cruise flying. President and her told us  some funny stories about him 😄
We also learned about how they were chosen as Mission Leaders. It's pretty cool how it works and is further evidence to me that Jesus Christ leads this Church. At the intial time of their call, President Bramwell was a High Councilor in a Stake Presidency in California (a smaller local leader position) when one day he got a call from President Jeffery R. Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. They told us President Holland is actually very funny and makes some edgy jokes lol so from now on when someone says would you say that joke in front of a prophet, I will respond with yes! Because I think he'd laugh!
One last cool thing was Elder Walker and I attended a Baptism of a girl named Abby in the Seguin 2nd Ward. It was a wonderful experience and we got to participate in her confirmation and receiving the gift of The Holy Ghost. So while it wasn't quite my first baptism of my mission yet, it was the first ordinance I participated in and it was a very special and sacred moment.
Before I say the one bad thing that happened I want to share with yall my spiritual thought I have been thinking about. While reading from Luke 6 in the Bible I came across
22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.
23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
These are some of my favorite verses and have provided great comfort to me as we face opposition daily as missionaries. It makes me happy to know that what I am doing is important. I am so grateful to have this wonderful opportunity to be a servant of the Son of Man. I had a very spiritual experience on Sunday at Church, nothing super big, but I felt the spirit strong and remembered the painting by Simon Dewey, In His Majesty and Power, where the resurrected Jesus is dressed in all red. I love the symbolism of how Jesus' white garment has become red as he has paid the price for my sins and for the whole world's sins. And what a special thing it is to get to serve the Lord Jesus Christ daily. And so I do rejoice and leap for joy, for I know my God is proud of me.
Anyways the bad thing that happened is yesterday I STEPPED IN DOG POOP! Frick. It made the car smell horrible too cause I didn't notice it for a few minutes. Had to clean it all off with wet wipes and water. Then went to gas station to wash my hands. It was not fun and our car smell bad still eevn though we got it all cleaned up. If you made it this far I hope that at least made you laugh cause that's the only positive that came out of it was making others smile lol.
I love yall and hope you have a wonderful week!
With Love,
Elder Noble
