Howdy Yall!
Another exciting week to share with you all! The work here in Seguin is ramping up, and I know that something BIG is coming to Seguin soon. Me and Elder Walker have been doing wonderful here and have been inviting everyone we meet to come to Jesus Christ! Thank you to those who've been emailing me this week its been fun to hear from home! This one will be in order. Just like my food orders this week lol. I had quite the munchies.
On Monday: We had a chill Preparation Day where we got to have some relaxing time and also go to In-N-Out and Buc-ee's!
On Tuesday: We did service at the Christian Cupboard and handed out lots of food for Thanksgiving especially. We also had dinner with Seguins City Manager! Pretty crazy how that worked out because he is not a member But he invited us to his wonderful home and made us yummy chicken Alfredo! We learned lots of cool stuff about Seguin and the cities plans for its fast paced growth. That night we also met the Mayor and were introduced to her as the Missionaries of Seguin! Great interaction and it's pretty crazy how in one day we met with people who are a big deal in Seguin!
On Wednesday: Had a couple lessons with our friends and met some cool families. We also had the best meal I've had in Texas so far with some incredible Brisket and homemade foods. We got to take lots of it home too and so we've been snacking on Brisket the rest of the week. I made great brisket tacos with the leftovers.
On Thursday: It was Thanksgiving so we spent some extra time in study and spent time together as an apartment. We were blessed to have a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with Bishop Bird and his family. It was super delicious and I ate a ton and Sister Bird gave me a lot of Coke Zero cause she knows I like it! And when she learned I like cherry pie she told another lady in the Church she needed to learn to make cherry pie but that lady just made one for Sister Bird to feed me! Such sweet Members in the Church going above and beyond for us!
On Friday: That post Thanksgiving sleepiness hit me like a bus and we fell asleep for 3 hours on accident 😬 I also chose to fast this day for our area that we may be more connected to the spirit so that we can better serve those around me. We broke my fast at Whataburger 😂 It was pretty good and the Dr. Pepper Blackberry shake I had was great.
On Saturday: We did service at the Lifeboat again, which is a local old guy's doomsday homestead he is building for when the world ends 🤣🤣🤣 But regardless of how silly and pointless it is, we had fun, and Me and Elder Walker did some flooring which was cool to learn! We also helped set up more for our upcoming Stroll to the Stable event that the mayor is having our church put on! Its gonna be huge and this upcoming Thursday we get to be in the town christmas parade with a Light The World float that our ward built!
On Sunday: Me and Elder Walker went to church and visited various friends. We also got to eat dinner with the Johnson family who are very nice people. I also finished the Book of Mormon for the fourth time!! Gonna restart it all over again along with my daily Bible study! One of our good friends who is on date to be baptized has unfortunately gone missing though. The other day he texted us if yall don't know see me again you know what. And since then we, nor his family, has actually seen him or heard from him. Hopefully we can get back in contact this week and he's okay! 👍
Something that happened through out the course of this week was wonderful apartment hang outs in the evening. We have christmas lights and decorations and we all sit around in sweaters and blankets, drinking hot coco and talking about whatever. It's truly Christmas vibes in our fretive little apartment. 🎄🎅 I've really loved getting to become best friends with my companion, Elder Walker, and our roommates who are also best friends now, Elder Williams and Elder Echols! We all get along super well and love and support each other. We have lots of fun but stay responsible and have been working harder than I have on my mission so far!! Anyways yall as we now head into December you have my best Christmas wishes with you! God bless everyone!!
With Love,
Elder Noble
