Hello 👋
Hope yall had a wonderful week! This week was just so much to talk about. My birthday was awesome and I had so much fun at Texas Roadhouse with my friends and we just had a really good day. On Tuesday we went around saying goodbye to the friends we were teaching and also to some of my favorite members in Seguin! It was pretty sad to say goodbye because I have really come to love Seguin a lot. What incredible people there are there and their humility and desire to grow closer to the Lord was awesome. In my 4 months there, my companions and I achieved unprecedented things!! The Lord's hand was truly in our work 🙏 During my time there I had the opportunity to find and teach 264 people!! And that isn't including the people we would quickly meet and say prayers or share scriptures with. We also grew to be a very well loved companionship by the ward and I'm sure that Elder Walker and I as a companionship will be remembered!! I was grateful to be with him for all of the holidays and my birthday because he is going to be my lifelong best friend!!! 😁
On Wednesday was transfers and I am now serving in Northern San Antonio covering the Summerglen Hills Ward and Indian Spirngs Ward. And WOW I have been blown away by how awesome the members are. We went around meeting some and they were super kind, spiritual, and welcoming. They are very missionary oriented wards and seek to have ALL come and follow Jesus Christ. On Sunday, we had 10 friends at Church, some of which we just met because the members are so good at inviting their friends!! I have been fed every night I've been here so far and the discussions at the dinner tables have been Christ-centered, fun, full of joy, and service oriented. Most of the success this area has comes from referrals from members and we have met some wonderful people because WE work together.
My new companion is Elder Cash Bazil and he is a stud. We are becoming quick friends and enjoy each other's company. We have been working very hard too!! This area is so different though and I have been faced with more challenges and more negative situations in just a few days than I ever was in the 4 months in Seguin. We have been mocked, yelled at, bashed, and hated. It was very hard at first and still does sting when all we want to do is say a prayer with someone and then they go off on us. But I remembered two things, Jesus said the world hated me before it hated you. And Isaiah 45 in which the Lord says, ” I will go before you and level the mountains. I will smash down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron.”
These have been motivating me to keep going and to JUMP IN to the work and forget myself. The last transfer here before I arrived they only found 10 new people to teach total. In just 5 days we have now found 16 new people!! I am so proud of our diligence and faith in the Lord providing miracles. Some positives that really make up for the challenges are the incredible members and our friend Kenny. Kenny is awesome and is on date to be baptized on March 1 and his desire and want to be closer to Jesus Christ is unlike anything I have ever seen. When I met him at church yesterday the spirit was so powerful and spoke to me saying that he is doing good and is doing right. I then testified to him of how he is following Christ's footsteps and that his desire and integrity and growth are inspirational. The spirit was so powerful and we all started tearing up. God is truly with us!!! He is going before us and the Lord is taking care of us admist our trials.
Some other awesome things are how awesome my parents, family and friends are in supporting me!! I asked for them to pray for me and I literally felt the power given to me to endure well. Thank you!! My mom also was so kind and sent me a target order of stuff I love and some groceries I needed!! That meant a lot to me admist my trials. Also at Church the Clark's, friends from home, came and visited and brought along a valentines day gift from my mom!! So sweet of her to send a surprise and it meant so much to me!! I love you Mom and Dad!! And it was so exciting to see the Clark's and I will see them again this upcoming week while they visit which is so exciting.
Also the last thing, my apartment is insane! I literally live in a penthouse! This place is huge and it's just me and my companion who live here. It's on the top of a hill and we can see the city and houses below and even the temple in the distance!! So cool and it's such a privilege to live here. How crazy is it to be a missionary?? Like we literally live in a nice and giant apartment and it's just two 19 year olds who talk about Jesus that live here LOL 😂
I love yall!! Please do keep praying for me!! I need as much spiritual strength here than anywhere else I've ever needed in my life! I can feel them so please do pray for me! Have a wonderful week yall!!
With Love,
Elder Noble
