Howdy Yall!
I hope yall had a great New Years! We've been keeping very busy still but nothing too eventful has happened this week. New Years Eve was still a normal day of missionary work and it went really well as we got to talk to lots of people. Wednesday was also transfers but Elder Walker and I are sticking together for one more in Seguin! Elder Williams moved out and is now Zone Leader of the Pecan Valley. Elder Jones has now joined Elder Echols so it's still a pretty cool apartment. But I definitely miss Elder Williams and now I am the longest serving in Seguin right now! It feels weird because only 7 weeks ago I was hanging out with completely different Elders but change is a part of the mission.
As I enter my third transfer; my training is officially over! We call a missionaries third transfer their Greenie Breaking. There's less study and training things to do so you get out the apartment a lot faster. My first day we had 7 hours straight of unscheduled work which meant lots of finding time! At first I was a little intimidated but it went great! We found 6 new people to teach and spoke to tons of people. It felt great getting to testify of Jesus Christ this week. I've been appreciating Jesus Christ's resurrection a lot lately too.
I enjoy pondering upon the power of Him breaking the bands of death. And I love to think of how the Apostles had felt when they lost their best friend and master. Yet He rose from the dead and saw them again in the flesh. I know Jesus Christ is alive even now and I am grateful for Him. I love Christ's promise that because He defeated death; we will be able to live again.
John 11
25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
This transfer is off to a great start and it's gonna be a great one I know! There's lots of opportunities for me to continue to grow and depend my faith in Jesus Christ. Also my birthday will be the last P-day of the transfer which is super exciting and I am looking forward to it!
