Hello! Dear friends,
My life is good. REAL Good!! I get to wake up every morning, at 5am, and make some soup! It's the best! I love it!
LOL not really 5am. This week I arrived at the Provo MTC and am loving it here. I have been waking up at 6:30am every morning and have been having lots of fun. I spend everyday, the whole day talking about and practicing teaching about Jesus Christ. I love the work I have been doing. We wake up in the morning and get ready, then we go up to the top floor of the main building and we do our personal study. We have incredible views of Mt. Timpanogos and the new provo temple that is being built. The whole campus is actually super beautiful with incredible views and lots of light. They are already putting up Christmas lights on all of the trees. The rest of my day consists mainly of classes, practicing teaching, and studying the scriptures. We also get fed 3 meals a day as much as we want. I really like donuts.
My companions for the MTC are Elder Evans, from Hawaii and he is going to the Iowa City mission. And also Elder Stonehocker who is very proudly from Billings, Montana, and he is coming with me to the Texas San Antonio Mission. Trios are a little rare here, but we are having lots of fun together and are becoming good friends. I also love my district and teachers and we have lots of fun together.
I also want to share a bit about something I learned called the Character of Christ. The Character of Christ is that Jesus Christ always turns outward in a loving manner, when the natural man would turn inwards. Elder Bednar of the quorum of the twelve apostles compared the natural man to the cookie monster saying, ME WANT COOKIE NOW! There are times in our lives when we are in a situation and think of me,me,me. And it is in those situations in the scriptures where Jesus Christ turns outward and puts others first. Elder Bednar then said, “Get over yourself, it's not about you.” And I loved that and it is making me want to help others in their time of need even if it is inconvenient to me. I love Jesus Christ and his spirit has been supporting me all day, everyday. I love the MTC and am excited for next week during General Conference.
With Love,
Elder Noble
