Testimony of Elder Cache I. Noble
The choice to serve a mission has been my biggest decision yet, and it will be the most important work I embark on in my life. I have been called to serve as a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ in the Texas San Antonio Mission. This is a dream mission I never even realized I had until I received my call. My dad also served in Texas; however, he served in Houston, and it excites me to continue the work in the Lone Star State. I testify that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He lives today, and has atoned for all of mankind. Since the beginning of time, He has spoken to prophets and apostles to reveal His Father's will, and the truths revealed of old have been restored to this earth by the Prophet Joseph Smith. The Lord continues to speak through modern-day prophets and apostles just as He did in days of old, for He is an unchanging God. He has called me, along with the many other missionaries, to go out unto all nations, kindreds, tongues, and peoples to testify of Jesus Christ. I look forward to teaching the people the biblical accounts of the Savior, as well as the record of Christ contained within the Book of Mormon, which is a volume of scripture comparable to the Bible, and its purpose is “to the convincing of Jew and Gentile that Jesus is the Christ, the Eternal God, manifesting himself unto all nations.” Though the goal of spreading the Gospel is ultimately conversion, I most look forward to sharing the personal joy I have found in Christ and to testify of the truth that He is the Living God.
My Favorite Scripture: Alma 26:11-12
“I do not boast in my own strength, nor in my own wisdom; but behold, my joy is full, yea, my heart is brim with joy, and I will rejoice in my God. Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things.”
God loves all his children: 2 Nephi 26:33
“For none of these iniquities come of the Lord; for he doeth that which is good among the children of men; and he doeth nothing save it be plain unto the children of men; and he inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile.”
